Located on the island of Grand Isle in Vermont, this house project includes the planning of 3 pavilions connected by a central body of building. Building 1 includes the main living areas of the residence and the service areas including a mezzanine with 2 bedrooms.

The layout of the building frames the west view overlooking the opposite shore of Lake Champlain and the mountain ranges on the horizon. The west facade includes a large area of glazing which also allows to benefit from the solar orientation, the view of the landscape and the sunsets. The envelope has the level of thermal performance required by Vermont’s energy regulations. The exterior finishes on the roof and walls include coatings in steel, wood and stone. The same is true for the spaces, finishes, furniture and equipment in the kitchen and bathrooms.

Building 2 includes an office space, a master bedroom, storage cupboard and a bathroom. Building 3 is for the children’s use and has two bedrooms, storage cupboard in the latter, bathroom and office / lounge area.
