Located in Oka on a largely vegetated lot, the House of Two Mountains fulfills many long-standing wishes of its future owners. The latter have been living on the land for a few years now in an existing chalet rendered irretrivable by the nature of its precarious construction. After considering its preservation, the owners are now ready to prefer the construction of a new residence adapted to their way of life and which will allow them to take full advantage of this exceptional site on the shores of Lac des Deux-Montagnes.

The desire to live in tune with nature is the central principle of this new residence. Organized on either side of a central corridor, the spaces are distributed in order to frame views and modulate the outside relationships from the different rooms. The living spaces are thus aligned towards the lake where a large openings will allow a generous connection to a vast and unobstructed landscape. The bedrooms are aligned to the north and open onto a controlled landscape occupied by lush vegetation.
